Care Instructions

Cutting Board

Maintaining your cutting board is simple and will preserve its luster while keeping your food bacteria-free.

  • Hand wash only, dry with a towel for maximum preservation of the finish.
  • When the wood feels dry, or when the colors begin to fade, it's time to re-condition it. There are 2 options for re-conditioning:

  1. Apply food-safe mineral oil liberally over all surfaces and allow the wood to soak it up. Wait at least 30 minutes, then buff off the excess with a shop towel or lint free cloth.
  2. Apply a warmed 4:1 mixture of mineral oil and beeswax. This will provide a bit more protection, and can be made at home or you can purchase Howard Butcher Block conditioner. Allow it to soak into the wood at least 30 minutes, then buff with a shop towel or lint-free cloth.
